About A Run for Gianca

A Run for Gianca is Mirano's non-competitive solidarity run, in the province of Venice, which opens spring with routes open to everyone through the streets of the center. Walkers, runners, and families start from Piazza Martiri della Libertà on flat and accessible routes, including an inclusive route. The proceeds support the La Colonna APS association, active on the issue of spinal cord injuries.

Running and Walking for a Good Cause

A Run for Gianca is the non-competitive running event in Mirano, in the province of Venice, that combines sport and solidarity. The run, part of the Volunteer Festival, is open to runners, walkers, families, and in recent editions, even pets.

Routes for Everyone

The routes start and finish in Piazza Martiri della Libertà and cross the city center on roads closed to traffic, entirely flat and free of architectural barriers, with an inclusive route accessible to wheelchairs, strollers, and people with reduced mobility.

The Cause: La Colonna APS

The proceeds from registrations are donated to the La Colonna APS association, founded in 2001 from an idea by Giancarlo Volpato following a severe spinal cord injury: the association works to support scientific research, provide information, and promote social inclusion.
