An Open-Air Jazz Festival on the Rubicone

A River of Jazz is the musical festival that, every summer, enlivens the evenings of Savignano sul Rubicone, a town in the Province of Forlì-Cesena situated on the famous Rubicone river, in Emilia-Romagna. Born from an idea by the Rimini Jazz Club and growing year by year, the event offers a series of free outdoor concerts that transform Piazza Borghesi, in the historic center, into a sophisticated open-air musical lounge.

Jazz in All Its Nuances

The festival is distinguished by its curated and varied programming, aiming to introduce a wide audience to the language of jazz without compromising on quality. In past editions, trios and quartets, vocalists, and instrumentalists have performed on stage, in a journey ranging from swing to ballads, from influences of funk and soul to incursions into hip-hop and old-school rap. There are also tributes to the great names in jazz history and songwriting, alongside original projects and young local talents.

A Savignano Summer Event

A River of Jazz is now a regular feature of the city's summer program, 'La Dolce Estate', promoted by the Municipality of Savignano sul Rubicone with the support of the Department of Culture and Tourism. The collaboration between the Rimini Jazz Club and the municipal administration has consolidated a format appreciated by residents and tourists over the years, capable of combining musical quality with the typical conviviality of Romagna's summer evenings.

Music and Solidarity

In addition to the artistic offerings, the festival has often included solidarity initiatives: in recent editions, the ISAL Foundation, dedicated to research on chronic pain, has been present with information stands and voluntary contribution collections during the evenings. This is a way to combine a passion for jazz with attention to the local community and social causes.
