A dance evening under the stars in Valenzano
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Every summer, A passo di danza brings the magic of dance to the streets of Valenzano, a town in the metropolitan city of Bari, in Puglia. This is not just a simple recital, but a true popular festival that invites the entire community to gather outdoors for an evening dedicated to movement, music, and performance. The stage is the square itself, Largo San Benedetto, which for one night transforms into a theater under the stars open to everyone.
The event was born from the passion of instructors Gigi and Annamaria Morga, the driving forces behind ASD Team Dance Morga, an amateur sports association that promotes dance in Valenzano through courses for children, teenagers, and adults. A passo di danza is the moment when students and local dancers take the stage before an audience: a journey through the universal language of dance, capable of uniting different generations in a single shared emotion.
The evening's program features dozens of performances ranging from group dances to more technical choreographies. Dancers of all ages, from the youngest to the most experienced students, take turns on stage in a show designed to involve and fascinate spectators both young and old. The event is hosted by well-known local radio personalities who introduce the various segments and accompany the audience throughout the evening.
Supported by the Municipality of Valenzano, A passo di danza is a free-entry event deeply rooted in the town's social fabric. It is an opportunity for families, friends, and curious onlookers to experience a summer evening of celebration together, honoring the work of local dance schools and the unifying value of this discipline. Now approaching its eleventh edition, the festival has become a classic of the Valenzano summer.
The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced: the event is traditionally held in July. We recommend following the channels of ASD Team Dance Morga and the Municipality of Valenzano to find out the official date and program for the next evening.
