1st Craft Fair – The Art of Making, the Pleasure of Sharing

A new craft fair in Palermo

The Palagiotto in Palermo, located in Piazza Rocco Chinnici, hosts the first edition of the Craft Fair titled "The Art of Making, the Pleasure of Sharing". The event, promoted by Federaziende and Conf.Sin (the national confederation of autonomous unions), was created to showcase the work of artisans and introduce the general public to the world of artistic trades, a living heritage with deep roots in Sicily.

Two weekends of exhibitions

The event is spread over two super weekends: April 10, 11, and 12, and April 17, 18, and 19, 2026. Exhibition stands are open from 4 PM to 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, while on Sundays, the fair remains open continuously from 10 AM to 11 PM. The Palagiotto space is transformed into a showcase dedicated to the creativity and ingenuity of artisans, with a path designed to engage visitors of all ages.

Inauguration and entertainment

The official opening ceremony was held on April 10 at 4 PM, enlivened by the presence of Gb Sax: the evocative country notes and 19th-century style dances accompanied the start of the event, providing attendees with a warm and festive atmosphere. Live music and entertainment remain a central component of the experience, alongside the exhibitions.

Pottery and children's workshops

Among the most appreciated offerings are the pottery demonstrations and the free workshop dedicated to children, an educational opportunity to stimulate the manual skills and creativity of the little ones under the guidance of master craftsmen. Young visitors can discover the secrets of artisan trades up close, in a moment of play and learning that celebrates working with one's hands.
