About Youth Dialogue
When the Dialogue Belongs to Youth
The Youth Dialogue Festival is the version of the Dialogue Festival dedicated to new generations in Orvieto (province of Terni). Organized by the association ApertaMenteOrvieto, with the patronage of the Foundation for the Study Center "Città di Orvieto" and the Municipality of Orvieto, it focuses on student protagonism and dialogue among Italian and international young people.
Lectures, Marathons, and Experts
The program alternates masterclasses, marathons of meetings with experts on current topics – from end-of-life care to the energy transition, from migrant integration to geopolitical challenges – and moments dedicated to students' creative productions. The event venues are the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo and the Aula del Dialogo of the Fondazione Centro Studi.
An Exhibition and a Parliament Simulation
Among the characteristic events are the "Youth in Dialogue" day, dedicated to the presentation of student work, the simulation of the European Parliament curated by local schools, and the "Art in Dialogue" exhibition in the Sala Expo, featuring works by the city's Art High School.
Youth Dialogue — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Youth Dialogue Festival was held in Orvieto from May 4th to 8th, on the theme "Frontiers", between the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo and the Aula del Dialogo of the Fondazione Centro Studi.
The program intertwined masterclasses, meetings with experts, student protagonism, and art, involving Italian and international students and local schools.

- Masterclass by Prof. Ernesto C. Sferrazza Papa: "What is a Frontier?"
May 5 – 6 – Expert Marathon
- Meetings (also online) on end-of-life, energy transition, migrant integration, scientific and geopolitical challenges
Thursday, May 7 – "Youth in Dialogue"
- Day dedicated to student protagonism, with presentations of work and creative productions by young people
Friday, May 8 – AGO.RA'
- European Parliament simulation by I.I.S. Majorana-Maitani with Italian and international students
Exhibition
- "Art in Dialogue" in the Sala Expo of the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo, with works by the "L.O. Valentini" Art High School and Stefania Conticchio's school

How to Get There
Orvieto can be reached by train on the Rome-Florence line (Orvieto Scalo station + funicular) and by car from the A1 motorway, exit Orvieto. The meetings are held at the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo, in Piazza del Popolo.
