42.195 km from Corso Sempione to Piazza Duomo, in the heart of Milan
The Wizz Air Milan Marathon is the marathon of the city of Milan (Municipality of Milan, Lombardy) and one of the most important in Italy. The 24th edition takes place on Sunday, April 12, 2026, with the usual participation of thousands of Italian and international runners. It is a World Athletics Label Road Race, an award that certifies its organizational and competitive level.
The big news for 2026 is the point-to-point course: no longer a loop, but a route that starts from Corso Sempione, near the Arco della Pace, and finishes in Piazza Duomo, in front of the cathedral. The first 13 kilometers have been redesigned to touch upon even more symbolic places in the city and to offer a faster course.
The 2026 edition has already set record numbers in the registration phase, with approximately 12,000 runners for the marathon, of which nearly 8,000 are international (a large portion from abroad). The marathon start (42.195 km) is scheduled for 8:15 AM for competitive and non-competitive athletes aged 20 and over.
Alongside the individual race, the UniCredit Relay Marathon takes place, a charity relay that involves thousands of runners supporting solidarity projects. The Milan Marathon is thus much more than a race: it's a great city celebration that combines sport, solidarity, and tourism, capable of attracting participants from all over the world in the heart of Milanese spring.
