Sound ecology and environmental art between Parco Sempione and Triennale
Terraforma EXO is the urban evolution of Terraforma, a festival born as a project dedicated to experimental music and sustainability. The prefix "EXO" marks the departure from the original venue to enter new environments: in Milan, the festival is rooted between Parco Sempione and Triennale Milano, two symbolic cultural hubs of the city.
The festival proposes a true sound ecology: an immersive experience that intertwines music, environmental art, and conscious listening. The program alternates concerts and audiovisual performances, sound installations, immersive sound walks, and listening sessions, where the public is invited to perceive sound in relation to space and landscape.
Terraforma EXO does not renounce the festive and nocturnal dimension: alongside the more experimental performances and installations, there is also space for club nights, in collaboration with Milanese scene players like Gatto Verde. A combination that makes the festival a meeting point between artistic research, avant-garde electronics, and dance culture.
The choice of Parco Sempione and the Triennale gives the festival a unique setting in the heart of Milan. The park, with the Torre Branca and its spaces, becomes a large organism to be inhabited through listening, while the Triennale offers its institutional and architectural breath. Terraforma EXO thus brings to the Lombard capital a cultural experience that combines music, environment, and city.
The 2026 edition of Terraforma EXO brings the sound ecology festival to Parco Sempione and Triennale Milano on November 26 and 27. As in previous editions, the offering intertwines experimental music, environmental art, and immersive listening.
The program includes concerts and audiovisual performances, sound installations, immersive sound walks, and a club night in collaboration with Milanese scene players like Gatto Verde. The full lineup and schedule will be communicated by the organization through official channels.
The detailed program and artists for the 2026 edition will be announced by the organization. In previous editions, the festival hosted artists from the international experimental and electronic scene such as Lorenzo Senni, Florian Hecker, Robert Henke, Caterina Barbieri, and David Toop.
