A day of karting and inclusion at the 6th Wing base
Wheelchair Karting is a discipline that allows people with motor disabilities to get behind the wheel of adapted go-karts and experience the thrill of sports driving. In Ghedi, a municipality in the province of Brescia, this experience finds a truly special setting: the Military Base of the 6th Wing of the Air Force, which has opened its doors to the initiative for four consecutive years.
The event, organized by Wheelchair Karting ASD, is a day dedicated to inclusion, emotions, and engines. Under the guidance of instructors and with the support of volunteers, participants can try out the karts, discovering in fun and adrenaline a form of therapy and personal redemption. "A day of inclusion, emotions, engines, smiles, and pure energy" is how the association describes the initiative.
The choice of the Ghedi Military Base is no coincidence: the support of the Italian Air Force gives the event strong institutional and symbolic value, demonstrating how even entities related to defense can promote social and inclusive initiatives. Participation is reserved for registered participants, via an online form.
