The rainbow wave crossing the center of Brescia
Every year the historic center of Brescia fills with color with Brescia Pride, the demonstration for LGBTQ+ rights organized by the Brescia Pride ETS Committee. The procession crosses the city streets in a rainbow wave made of floats, flags, music, and demands, against all forms of omo-lesbo-biphobia.
The day is divided into two moments: the parade through the streets of the center, with themed floats, student collectives, associations, and social groups, and the concluding part with a stage, speeches, performances, and music. Drag queens and spokespeople animate the demonstration, giving voice to the demands of the communities involved.
Brescia Pride stands out for its great attention to accessibility: low-sensory stimulation areas, high-visibility spaces to follow the speeches, Italian Sign Language (LIS) interpretation during stage speeches, recognizable volunteers to support the public. The event also promotes sustainability, encouraging reusable water bottles and cups.
With participation that has involved thousands of people in the procession, Brescia Pride has become a consolidated event in the capital's civic calendar. Alongside the procession, merchandising, food areas, markets, and exhibitions complete the day, transforming the claim of rights into a large popular and collective celebration in the heart of Lombardy.
Brescia Pride 2026 returns on Saturday, September 5th, to the historic center of Brescia, organized by the Brescia Pride ETS Committee. The procession starts at 3:30 PM and crosses the city streets with musical and political floats, themed sections, student collectives, and social groups.
After returning towards Campo Marte, around 5:30 PM, the demonstration continues with speeches, performances, and music from the stage until 8:30 PM, with great attention to accessibility and inclusion.
