The WEmbrace Games have become a staple of the Roman summer: a grand barrier-free sports festival that brings the Stadio dei Marmi "Pietro Mennea" to life every year. This evocative arena, surrounded by marble statues within the Foro Italico complex in Rome, serves as the perfect stage. The event is conceived and promoted by the art4sport Foundation, founded in 2009 by Paralympic foil fencing champion Beatrice "Bebe" Vio Grandis and her family, with the mission of providing prosthetics and sports equipment to children and young people with amputations.

Eight teams, one message

The heart of the event is a unique team challenge: eight teams from across Italy, composed of people with and without disabilities, adults and children, professional athletes, and celebrities, compete in spectacular and engaging trials. The message is simple and universal: diversity is a strength, and everyone has a place on the same team. It is not about winning, but about playing on equal terms and joining forces to break down any physical or mental barrier.

The setting is the Stadio dei Marmi, in the city of Rome (Lazio region), one of the most iconic sports venues in Italy, at the foot of Monte Mario.
