Waiting for Saint Martin

The 2025 edition of Waiting for Saint Martin took place on Saturday, November 8th in Piazza Chiesa in Carruba, organized by the Pro Loco with the patronage of the municipalities of Giarre and Riposto.

• 17:30 — Inauguration of the mycological exhibition at the Pro Loco headquarters in Piazza San Martino;
• 19:30 — Grandma's Mustard: live preparation of the classic grape mustard with tasting;
• 20:00 — "Autumn Flavors" cooking show by students and teachers of the "Giovanni Falcone" Hotel Management School of Giarre, featuring risotto with guanciale and roasted chestnuts creamed with local citrus and orange blossom honey, accompanied by new wine;

The evening concluded with music, dancing, grape must, and wine, in a festive atmosphere that highlighted the gastronomic and cultural heritage of the village.
