A Summer Classic in the Vulture Region
Nestled among the volcanic lakes of Monticchio, within the municipality of Rionero in Vulture, the Vulcanica Live Festival is a long-standing event, reaching its 26th edition in 2026. The spectacular setting is the Spiaggia delle Ninfee on the Lago Grande, where live music blends with one of Basilicata's most beloved landscapes.
Music for Young People
Founded as a space dedicated to live music and young people, Vulcanica Live has built a distinct identity over the years: to give a voice to new acts and emerging artists on the Italian scene, in a free and open-to-all context. For the 2026 edition, the closing performance will be by Anna Castiglia, one of the most interesting voices of the new singer-songwriter movement.
The Dawn Concert
The major new feature for 2026 is a dawn concert on the lake shores: an unprecedented experience designed to enjoy music at the most magical moment of the day, as light breaks over the Vulture craters. Alongside this, the festival offers a show dedicated to a younger audience, reaffirming its role as a cultural and social laboratory.
Celebration and Territory
Organized by the Vulcanica Cultural Association in collaboration with the Ninfea Festival and supported by the Municipality of Rionero in Vulture, Vulcanica Live is described by the administration as an opportunity for cultural and social rebirth, capable of enhancing the natural beauty and artistic heritage of the Province of Potenza.

The 26th Edition
The Vulcanica Live Festival 2026 returns from August 22 to 24 at the Spiaggia delle Ninfee, on the Lago Grande of Monticchio (Rionero in Vulture), for its twenty-sixth edition. The program focuses on three key moments: a show dedicated to young people, an original dawn concert on the lake shores, and the closing with Anna Castiglia. Admission is free.

Practical information — Vulcanica Live
How to get there: The Monticchio Lakes are reachable by car from Rionero in Vulture (approx. 15 minutes); from the A16 motorway, take the Candela exit, then the SS93 and the road to Monticchio.
Tickets: Free admission to all concerts.
Tip: For the dawn concert, it's advisable to arrive early and bring something warm to wear; the venue is in a natural area, so comfortable shoes are recommended.
