An evening in the vein of Venetian choral tradition
Voci di Maggio is the popular choir review that the Coro Serenissima of Vigonza organizes at the Teatro Quirino De Giorgio, in the heart of the municipality in the province of Padua. The evening is dedicated to the Venetian choral tradition, a musical heritage made up of mountain songs, popular pieces, and multi-voice harmonies that are part of the territory's identity.
Alongside the Coro Serenissima, ensembles invited from different areas of the region take the stage, engaging in a musical dialogue that connects different choral realities. It is an opportunity to hear live a repertoire passed down from generation to generation, which finds its natural space in reviews like this.
Free admission makes Voci di Maggio an event open to the entire community, designed to introduce a wide audience to choral singing and to promote the activities of the musical associations in the Padua area.
The 2026 edition of Voci di Maggio is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 8:45 PM to 10:45 PM, at the Quirino De Giorgio Theatre in Vigonza. The Coro Serenissima hosts the Corale dei Laghi from Tarzo and Revine-Lago and the Coro La Sisilla from Montecchio Maggiore, for a concert in the vein of the Venetian choral tradition. Admission is free, and the invitation is extended to the entire community.
