Edition 2025 — Polenta Festival
The 2025 Polenta Festival in Vivaro Romano
The 2025 edition of the Polenta Festival took place on Sunday, December 7, in the small village of Vivaro Romano, in the province of Rome, at an altitude of 757 meters among the Carseolani Mountains. The lunch, which began at 1:00 PM with a meeting point in Piazza della Peschiera, was held entirely indoors to shelter from the mountain cold.
On the plate, the full Vivaro tradition: polenta seasoned with pork rib sauce, sausages, and sautéed broccoli rabe, with wine and water included in the menu. The day also offered visitors the chance to discover the village, with free access to the Castello Borghese and walks through the alleys of the historic center, already immersed in the pre-Christmas atmosphere. A convivial gathering that confirmed the festival as the opening ritual of winter for the Vivaro Romano community and the many visitors who traveled up from the Turano Valley and Rome.
