Corsico's Summer of Culture

In Corsico, a city in the Metropolitan City of Milan overlooking the Naviglio Grande canal, Viva Corsico Viva! is the major cultural review of spring and summer. Organised by the Municipality together with the Fondazione Per Leggere — the library network that includes the Corsico Library on the Naviglio — the event enlivens the city from May to the end of July with a rich and varied programme.

A Multidisciplinary Programme

The beauty of Viva Corsico Viva! lies in its variety: piazza theatre is complemented by author encounters, open-air cinema by dance evenings, children's shows by moments of reflection and dissemination. There is space for the section dedicated to the youngest, "Play! Corsico Gioca", and for events like "Pillole di Filosofia" (Philosophy Pills) or children's theatre shows in the city parks, such as Parco Giorgella. Events are spread across squares, gardens, and the library, in a journey that brings culture to different neighbourhoods.

Accessible and Widespread Culture

The review was created with the aim of making culture accessible to all and enhancing the city's public spaces as meeting points. The collaboration with Fondazione Per Leggere focuses on promoting reading and dialogue with authors, but the programme embraces all arts, from theatre to cinema to music. Most events are free admission.

A City Rediscovered

For Corsico, Viva Corsico Viva! has become the event that marks the start of the warmer season: an invitation to go out, frequent the squares and parks, and rediscover one's city as a space for shared culture, in a festive atmosphere that accompanies Corsico's residents from May through the heart of summer.
