The Carnival of Vittorio Veneto, in the province of Treviso, is one of the most cherished events of the carnival season in the Marca Trevigiana. The city of Cenedese transforms for an entire weekend into an open-air stage, filled with confetti, masks, music, and the grand allegorical floats parading through the city streets.
Two days of celebration
The programme typically spans two days: Saturday is dedicated to family entertainment in Piazza del Popolo, with street artists, shows, and workshops for children; Sunday is the highlight, with the grand parade of allegorical floats starting from Viale della Vittoria and crossing the city centre, accompanied by masked groups and costumed participants.
Part of the Carnevali di Marca circuit
The Vittorio Veneto event is part of the Carnevali di Marca circuit, a network that coordinates numerous parades in the municipalities of the province of Treviso between January and March, culminating in a grand finale that closes the season. This system mobilizes dozens of floats, thousands of participants, and just as many spectators, making the Treviso Carnival one of the most attended in the Veneto region.
