The San Donà Prose Season
"Visions" is the theatre season of the Astra Metropolitan Theatre in San Donà di Piave, in the province of Venice. The programme, running between November and April, offers a selection of prose, comedy, civil theatre, and dance performances that bring some of the most important Italian stage actors to the city on the Piave river.
A Programme of Big Names
The season alternates between great classics and contemporary drama: from Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew to Inhuman Tales from Kafka, from Italo Svevo's Zeno's Conscience to a reinterpretation of Lysistrata. Leading actors take to the stage — Amanda Sandrelli, Giorgio Pasotti, Alessandro Haber, Neri Marcorè, Lella Costa — culminating in the final performance by the renowned company Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo.

- January 10-11 — Alessandro Haber in Zeno's Conscience by Italo Svevo
- January 23-24 — A Mirror by Sam Holcroft, with Ninni Bruschetta, Claudio Gregori, Fabrizio Colica, Paola Michelini, and Gianluca Musiu
- February 13-14 — Francesco Piccolo and Pif in Moments of Negligible (Un)happiness
- February 27 — Paolo Calabresi in All the Men Who Are Not
- March 10 — Neri Marcorè in Gaber. My World Hurts, a tribute to Giorgio Gaber
- March 20-21 — Lella Costa in Lysistrata, directed by Serena Sinigaglia
- March 27-28 — Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, season finale
