About VIOFF
When the city of gold takes centre stage
For centuries, Vicenza has been the Italian capital of goldsmithing, and VIOFF – Vicenzaoro Fuori Fiera was created to bring this identity beyond the exhibition halls and into the historic centre's streets. Born from the collaboration between the Municipality of Vicenza and Italian Exhibition Group, the event transforms squares, palaces, and workshops into a widespread stage dedicated to preciousness for a weekend.
A journey through art, education, and taste
VIOFF's programme intertwines multiple facets: exhibitions and installations by artists and designers, performances and videomapping in Piazza dei Signori, educational talks that bring together students and professionals from local goldsmith companies, workshops and demonstrations in artisan workshops, and gold-themed menus and drinks in participating bars and restaurants. An experience designed for citizens, students, and visitors.
Two editions a year
VIOFF takes place twice a year, coinciding with the two editions of Vicenzaoro (January and September), the international jewellery show organised by IEG. It is the moment when the business dimension of the fair meets the city and the general public, showcasing Vicenza's goldsmithing expertise through culture, art, and hospitality.
VIOFF — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of VIOFF is divided into two events. In January (16-18), the theme is 'Golden Key', a symbolic and real key that opens the doors of the City of Gold; in September (4-6), it returns with the slogan 'Next Event', coinciding with Vicenzaoro September. The operational heart of the January edition is the Golden House set up at the Palazzo delle Poste, where the Golden Key is collected, granting free access to symbolic locations such as the Basilica Palladiana and the Teatro Olimpico.

'Golden Key' Edition — January 16-18, 2026
- Golden House at Palazzo delle Poste (Contrà Garibaldi): VIOFF headquarters, collection of the Golden Key, exhibitions and installations by artists and designers such as Matteo Cibic, Cleto Munari, Paolo Campagnolo, and Manuela Bedeschi, as well as the participatory installation 'Keystones' by Amen
- Friday, January 16, from 9:00 AM — Golden Talk at the Teatro Palladio in the IEG exhibition district: a discussion between students and professionals from local goldsmith companies
- Videomapping in Piazza dei Signori and live performances in the historic centre
- Gold-themed menus and drinks in participating bars and restaurants; workshops and demonstrations in artisan workshops reserved for Golden Key holders
'Next Event' Edition — September 4-6, 2026
The second annual edition of the Off-Fair, coinciding with Vicenzaoro September. Programme of events in the historic centre to be defined.

How to get here
Vicenza's historic centre, where VIOFF events are concentrated, is a short walk from the train station. By car, take the Vicenza Ovest or Vicenza Est exit from the A4 motorway.
Access
