Wine Leaves the Fair and Enters the City
Vinitaly and the City is the off-site event of Vinitaly that enlivens the historic center of Verona, in Veneto, every spring. While the trade fair for operators takes place at Veronafiere, in the city, wine becomes a celebration open to everyone: monumental squares and courtyards host tasting stands, shows, and meetings, transforming the center into an open-air wine bar.
Symbolic Places of the Scaliger City
The route unfolds through Verona's most evocative locations: Piazza dei Signori, the Cortile del Mercato Vecchio, and the Cortile del Tribunale form the heart of the event, joined by the Loggia di Fra' Giocondo with the Grande Enoteca, the Loggia Antica dedicated to mixology, and the Torre dei Lamberti, where panoramic toasts can be enjoyed from 84 meters high. In Piazza Bra, an immersive show tells the story of Italian wine culture.
A Popular, High-Quality Celebration
Tastings of wines from all Italian regions, DJ sets, mixology, and guided tours of monuments make up a program designed for the general public. Vinitaly and the City is thus the popular and accessible face of Italy's most important wine exhibition, capable of combining wine quality with the beauty of Verona's heritage.
Vinitaly and the City — edition 2026
Vinitaly and the City 2026 returns to the historic center of Verona from April 10 to 12, in parallel with the Vinitaly fair at Veronafiere. The edition features 75 events including tastings, shows, and meetings. The opening is scheduled for Friday, April 10, at 6:00 PM, with the official toast featuring Pinot Grigio DOC delle Venezie. Saturday evening sees the debut of the new immersive show 'Dentro c'è l'Italia' in Piazza Bra, directed by choreographer Giuliano Peparini, with 150 performers on the steps of Palazzo Barbieri.
