The Vincisgrassi Festival is one of the most beloved food and wine events of the Osimo summer. It takes place every end of June at Piazzale Europa, in the Osimo Sud district, and is organized by the Sacra Famiglia Parish with the patronage of the Municipality of Osimo. For four days, the festival enlivens this corner of the city in the province of Ancona, in the Marche region, with food stalls, music, and entertainment for all ages.

The absolute star of the festival is the most representative baked pasta of the region: vincisgrassi. It is a rich and hearty dish, prepared with fresh egg pasta sheets layered with a flavorful mixed meat ragù, béchamel sauce, and abundant cheese, then baked until golden. Similar to lasagna but with its own distinct and ancient identity, vincisgrassi represents Marche festive cuisine, a traditional dish that in Osimo is prepared according to recipes passed down by local families.
