A festival in the green heart of Rome

The Villa Ada Festival is one of the most beloved summer events in the capital. Every year, it takes place in the vast Villa Ada park, Rome's fourth-largest green lung, located in Municipio II (Trieste-Salario area), with the main entrance at Via di Ponte Salario 28. The heart of the festival is the lake peninsula, a natural setting just minutes from the center where live music meets ancient trees and water. The event is organized by the Knock agency and has long been a staple of the Estate Romana, the city-wide program of events promoted by the Municipality of Rome in the Lazio region.

Two stages, a summer of music

The Villa Ada Festival formula revolves around two stages: one with free access dedicated to emerging bands, DJ sets, and local activities, and a ticketed stage for major concerts. The result is a multi-week lineup featuring dozens of evenings ranging from rock to pop, electronic to jazz, and singer-songwriter to world music, as well as theater and stand-up comedy. Alongside the concerts, there are presentations, meet-ups, late-night DJ sets, and food offerings, all in the informal and relaxed atmosphere that has made Villa Ada a true Roman summer ritual.

The 2026 edition

For the summer of 2026, the festival had announced a packed calendar with concerts running until August 8th, featuring names like Palaye Royale, Ghemon, and Vasco Brondi, alongside nights dedicated to punk and comedy. Please note: in March 2026, the Cultural Activities Department of Rome Capital ordered a halt to all events within the park for the entirety of 2026 due to green space redevelopment and the protection of new plantings. Several summer events originally scheduled for Villa Ada have had to find new locations. The status of the 2026 edition within the park is therefore uncertain: before purchasing tickets, it is advisable to verify dates and locations on the festival's and organizers' official channels.
