About RetroFutura

Vigevano RetroFutura is the digital culture festival that fills the Cavallerizza of the Sforza Castle with eighties consoles, historical computers, arcade cabinets, and artificial intelligence workshops. A journey from the evolution of video games to the future of technology, with two days dedicated to schools and two open to the public, with free admission.

Where Retrogaming Meets the Future

Vigevano RetroFutura is the event that transforms the Cavallerizza of the Sforza Castle in Vigevano into a large living museum of technology. Arcade cabinets, eighties consoles, historical computers, and retrogaming stations coexist with workshops dedicated to artificial intelligence, robotics, coding, and AI Art: a path that starts from the birth of video games to reach the frontiers of digital.

The 2026 Theme

The 2026 edition revolves around the theme "Computer, Videogames, School & the Future", creating a dialogue between computer memory and future perspectives. Alongside the exhibition of historical hardware and free play areas, the festival offers interactive workshops and activities designed for students, families, and enthusiasts.

Schools and Public

The event, held in the Municipality of Vigevano (Province of Pavia), dedicates the first days to local schools and the following ones to the general public, with free admission. RetroFutura is now a fixed event in Vigevano's spring for those who love the history of computing and innovation.
