Two events, one Carnival
The Vicenza Carnival, organized by the Municipality of Vicenza together with the Vicenza è Consortium, is divided into two major events: the evening parade of illuminated masked floats and the party in Piazza dei Signori dedicated to children.
The parade of illuminated floats
The parade is the heart of the event: six imposing floats — the largest measuring 8 meters wide, 12 meters high, and 25 meters long — travel along Viale Mazzini, illuminated and laden with exclusively biodegradable confetti. Each float is accompanied by about a hundred costumed participants, for a total of around 600 masks, with the Lakefunk band playing dance, funk, and jazz rhythms, and even a family of animated dinosaurs from Dinomania Italia.

A few days later, Piazza dei Signori and the streets of the historic center are transformed into a large play area for families: magicians, street artists, face painters, psychomotor games, and itinerant stilt walkers entertain the masked children. A Carnival that combines spectacle and participation in the heart of Vicenza and its province.
Vicenza Carnival — edition 2026
The 2026 Vicenza Carnival featured its two traditional events. On Saturday, February 7, at 5:00 PM, the parade of illuminated masked floats took place on Viale Mazzini with six floats, biodegradable confetti, the Lakefunk band, and an animated dinosaur family from Dinomania Italia, for a total of about 600 costumed participants.
On Saturday, February 14, from 3:30 PM, the party dedicated to children animated Piazza dei Signori and the streets of the historic center with magicians, street artists, face painters, psychomotor games, and itinerant stilt walkers. In case of bad weather, backup dates were scheduled for February 28 and March 21.

Saturday, February 7, 2026 — Parade of illuminated floats
- 5:00 PM — Departure of the parade from Via Battaglione Framarin, along Viale Mazzini and Viale Trento to the police headquarters roundabout (awards stage) and return to Viale Mazzini
- Six illuminated floats (the largest 8 m × 12 m × 25 m), exclusively biodegradable confetti
- Approximately 600 costumed participants (about a hundred per float), Lakefunk band (dance, funk, and jazz)
- Animated dinosaur family from Dinomania Italia (specimens up to 3 m × 4 m)
- Backup date in case of bad weather: February 28
Saturday, February 14, 2026 — Party in Piazza dei Signori
- From 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM — Party dedicated to children: magicians, street artists, face painters, psychomotor games, itinerant stilt walkers
- Animation extended to the streets of the historic center
- Backup date in case of bad weather: February 21

How to get there
Viale Mazzini and the historic center of Vicenza are a short walk from the train station. Temporary traffic changes are planned along the route during the parade.
