Leoniceno Christmas

Natale a Lonigo is the grand Christmas event that, every year, enlivens the town in the province of Vicenza for the entire month of December and until Epiphany. Promoted by the Municipality of Lonigo together with local associations and traders, it offers a widespread program of events encompassing culture, music, tradition, and solidarity.

The Christmas Village

The beating heart of the festivities is Piazza Garibaldi, which hosts the Christmas Village and the traditional carousel for children throughout December. Markets, chalets, nativity scenes, and light installations surround the square, giving the town a warm and festive atmosphere.

Shows, Music, and Workshops

The program is particularly rich with offerings for families and children: theatrical performances, concerts, Christmas-themed entertainment, creative workshops, and cultural events take place throughout the month. Among the protagonists are characters like the clumsy Elf and the magic of Olaf and the Elves, as well as concerts by the Filarmonica di Lonigo at the Municipal Theatre.

Tradition and Community

The festivities traditionally conclude with the Brusa la Vecia on January 6th, the Epiphany bonfire organized by the Alpini Group. Natale a Lonigo thus confirms itself not only as a calendar of events but as a moment of community that involves the entire historic center of Lonigo.
