Edition 2025 — VIA Japan

The first edition of VIA Japan took place from May 8 to 11, 2025, at the Città dell'Altra Economia in Testaccio, Rome. The debut of the festival dedicated to true Japanese street food brought twelve food stalls to the Capital featuring ramen, gyoza, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and pancakes, a sake corner, and live performances, in an immersion into authentic Japan appreciated by thousands of visitors.

VIA Japan 2025: the debut

From May 8 to 11, 2025, the Città dell'Altra Economia in Testaccio, Rome, hosted the first edition of VIA Japan, the festival dedicated to authentic Japanese street food. Twelve food corners offered genuine specialties such as ramen, gyoza, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, gyudon, and fluffy pancakes, prepared according to the traditions of the Land of the Rising Sun.

The official partner of the event was Ramen Bar Akira, which served various types of ramen with ingredients imported directly from Japan. To complete the experience, a sake corner curated by Shibataya, live performances, and an area dedicated to children were provided. A successful debut that laid the foundation for future events in the heart of the Lazio region.
