About Goose Festival
The goose at the heart of the festival
The Goose Festival (Festa dell'Oca) of Vescovana (province of Padua) is the end-of-summer festival that celebrates one of the most typical products of the Bassa Padovana region. Organized by the Pro Loco Vescovana, it takes place in the garden of the former parish kindergarten, at Via Roma 54, opposite Piazza della Libertà.
At the table and in the square
The heart of the event is the food stand, open every evening from 7:30 PM, where the goose is the absolute star of the dishes, following the tradition of Paduan cuisine. Around the food area, the festival offers a life-size Game of the Goose, a relaxation area, music, and a bar and ice cream service.
A community festival
The Goose Festival is an event deeply cherished by the community of Vescovana, capable of attracting visitors even from nearby towns in the Bassa Padovana (Veneto). Table reservations can be made online; information is available from Pro Loco Vescovana (tel. +39 351 7602867).
Goose Festival — edition 2026
The 10th edition of the Vescovana Goose Festival is scheduled between late August and early September 2026, in the garden of the former parish kindergarten at Via Roma 54, organized by Pro Loco Vescovana. The formula with the goose-themed food stand, open every evening from 7:30 PM, the life-size Game of the Goose, the relaxation area, music, and bar and ice cream service will be confirmed.

How to get here
Vescovana is located in the Bassa Padovana, near Stanghella. By car, take the A13 Bologna-Padova highway (exits Boara or Monselice) and continue on local roads. The food stand is in the garden of the former parish kindergarten, at Via Roma 54.
