A new festival for Vejano and the Tuscia region

The VejAmo Festival is a new cultural series promoted by the Municipality of Vejano, a small village in the Tuscia area of the province of Viterbo, in northern Lazio. Announced in the summer of 2026, the festival was born with a clear objective: to bring theatre, music, and live performance back to the centre of village life, transforming the Teatro Comunale into a permanent landmark for the community and the entire region.

Support from the Lazio Region

The project secured a 30,000-euro grant from the Lazio Region as part of the 2026 public call for support for live performances. The municipal administration welcomed this result as "an important recognition of the project's quality," thanking the Region and reaffirming its commitment to high-value cultural initiatives. Vejano is among the fourteen municipalities in the Tuscia region funded by the regional call, which allocated over 420,000 euros in total to live entertainment in the province of Viterbo.

The Teatro Comunale at the Villa Comunale

At the heart of the festival is the Teatro Comunale of Vejano, located inside the Villa Comunale, with entrances on Via dell'Impresa and Via Cardinale Cavicchioni. In recent years, the venue hosted acclaimed prose and comedy seasons before a temporary suspension of activities due to structural issues, which are currently being repaired. The VejAmo Festival serves as the perfect opportunity to relaunch this space and fully restore it to the community.

The lineup will focus on theatre, music, and live performances, with a program designed to involve artists, associations, and citizens in a journey of shared experiences and the promotion of local excellence.
