The Saint Bartholomew's festival in the hillside village of Valnogaredo
In the hillside village of Valnogaredo, a hamlet of Cinto Euganeo in the province of Padua, the end of summer coincides with the festival dedicated to Saint Bartholomew — known here familiarly as San Bortolo. 'Valnogaredo in Festa' is a village festival with a long tradition that, between the end of August and the first days of September, brings the community and visitors of the Euganean Hills together for a long period of celebrations.
The heart of the event is the well-stocked food stand, featuring dishes from the Venetian and Euganean Hills tradition, accompanied by local wines. The festival offers the typical convivial atmosphere of Venetian sagre, with outdoor tables set amidst the hilly landscape and a warm welcome that is renewed year after year.
The evenings of 'Valnogaredo in Festa' are enlivened by ballroom orchestras and DJ sets, making the dance floor one of the main meeting points. There are also moments of entertainment and socialising, in a festival that keeps alive the popular spirit of rural Veneto.
Organized around the parish church of Saint Bartholomew, the Valnogaredo festival is an authentic expression of the identity of this small hamlet in the Euganean Hills. An event that intertwines patronal devotion, gastronomy, and community celebration, offering visitors a genuine glimpse into village life in the Padua region.
'Valnogaredo in Festa', the Saint Bartholomew's Festival, will return in late August 2026 to the hillside village of Valnogaredo, following the editions that traditionally take place between the last week of August and the first days of September. The food stand will again offer dishes from Venetian and Euganean Hills cuisine with local wines, while the evenings will be enlivened by ballroom orchestras and DJ sets.
The official dates and the complete program for the 2026 edition have not yet been published: they will be communicated by the parish and organizers on their official channels in the weeks preceding the festival.
