An evening of singer-songwriter music in Piazza Europa in the heart of Val Tidone
Every summer, the Val Tidone Festival transforms the small municipalities of Valtidone and Valluretta into open-air stages, and Agazzano is one of the most anticipated stops. In the Municipality of Agazzano, in the province of Piacenza (Emilia-Romagna), the central Piazza Europa hosts an evening concert that attracts music lovers from all over the valley and from the city of Piacenza.
Promoted by the Val Tidone Musica Foundation, based in Sarmato, and supported by the Foundation of Piacenza and Vigevano, the festival is a historic event that involves all the municipalities of Valtidone-Valluretta every year โ including Agazzano, Pianello, Borgonovo, Castel San Giovanni, Sarmato, Gragnano, Piozzano, and Ziano โ as well as the provincial capital Piacenza. The artistic direction is entrusted to Livio Bollani.
The festival's program blends major names in Italian singer-songwriter music, established jazz musicians, and emerging young talents, often from the prestigious Val Tidone International Competitions. The travelling format allows visitors to discover live music and the villages, castles, and squares of the Piacenza valley at the same time.
The Agazzano stop is part of a journey that, every summer, brings artists capable of thrilling audiences of all ages to the valley, in an intimate and welcoming setting far from large arenas.
