Edition 2025 — UFIFEST Sicily

The second edition of UFIFEST Sicily took place in August 2025 in Lercara Friddi, with the participation of 18 international folk groups who paraded through the town streets in traditional costumes, amidst dances, songs, and pageants. The festival combined folkloric performance with Sicilian gastronomy, featuring a "Calice e Gusto" food and wine event and moments of ethnic music that enlivened the evenings.

UFIFEST Sicily 2025: the second edition

The second edition of UFIFEST Sicily brought 18 international folk groups to Lercara Friddi, who paraded in traditional costumes through the town streets with dances, songs, and folk music. The event, directed by Professor Giovanni Contino and hosted by Nadia Contino, confirmed its vocation as a regional festival dedicated to Sicilian identity, featuring pageants and traditions.

Among the highlights, on August 12th, the "Calice e Gusto" wine bar hosted a show-cooking event with Palermo chef Luciano Di Marco ("Lucianeddu"), a former MasterChef contestant, in an evening of gastronomic storytelling that concluded with ethnic music, dances, and songs. An edition that intertwined folklore, community, and local flavors in the heart of the Palermo province.
