Opening the CNC Sailing Season
The Trofeo Apertura and the Trofeo LILT are the regattas that on May 1st inaugurate the social championship of the Circolo Nautico Chioggia (CNC), in the province of Venice, organized together with the sailing club Il Portodimare.
More Trophies in One Day
The day hosts multiple competitions: the Trofeo Apertura dedicated to white sails, the Trofeo Pali open to all sails, and the Trofeo Leno for the Meteor class. The regattas count as the first leg of the CNC's social championship, marking the official start of the season's competitive activity.
Sport and Solidarity
The Trofeo LILT, named after the Italian League for the Fight Against Cancer, links sailing with a dimension of solidarity, in line with the Chioggia nautical club's tradition of supporting community initiatives alongside sports.

On Friday, May 1st, 2026, the Circolo Nautico Chioggia and Il Portodimare organized the Trofeo Apertura and the Trofeo LILT, events valid as the first leg of the CNC social championship.
The day hosted multiple competitions: the Trofeo Apertura, in its 16th edition and reserved for white sails; the Trofeo Pali, in its 29th edition, open to all sails; and the Trofeo Leno, in its 14th edition, dedicated to the Meteor class.

How to Get There
Chioggia is reachable by car via the SS309 Romea. By train to Venice or Rovigo, then by bus. The regattas can be watched from the harbor banks and the breakwater.
Participation
Regattas are reserved for boats registered with Circolo Nautico Chioggia and Il Portodimare. Viewing from land is free.
