The first amateur cycling race that inaugurates the Marche season, in the Minonna district of Jesi
The Trittico d'Apertura ACSI Marche is the circuit that inaugurates the road cycling season for amateurs in the Marche region every year. It consists of three distinct rounds, spread between late winter and early spring, which award an overall classification and serve as a launchpad for the following months of racing. The first round is held in Jesi, in the heart of the Province of Ancona, and more precisely in the Minonna district, one of the historic areas of the 'city of castles'.
Jesi and its Vallesina valley boast a solid cycling culture: a land of champions and established sports clubs, the area is accustomed to hosting amateur races and gran fondos along the Marche hills. The Minonna stage fits into this tradition and attracts ACSI members from the numerous amateur cycling categories โ from the youngest to the Veterans, including Women and Super Gentleman โ in an event that combines sport, competition, and social interaction.
The Trittico is divided into three consecutive events: after the opening in Jesi, the race continues with subsequent rounds in other towns in the Marche region, including the Fermo area (with the Trofeo Fasciani) and the Civitanova Marche and Macerata areas. The organization is overseen by ACSI Ciclismo, with coordination from the provincial committees of the Marche region. The races are reserved for ACSI members and affiliated federations, according to amateur cycling regulations.
For enthusiasts, the Jesi race represents much more than just a competition: it is the signal that the season has begun. Along the streets of the Minonna district, amateur cyclists, sports clubs, and families gather in a spirit of sporting celebration that characterizes the amateur movement in the Marche region. It's an opportunity to discover a sporting and popular side of Jesi and the Marche, far from the major professional circuits but rich in authentic passion for cycling.
The 2026 edition of the Trittico d'Apertura ACSI Marche began on Saturday, February 7, 2026, with the first round hosted in Jesi, in the Minonna district. The race marked the restart of amateur competitive activity in the Marche region after the winter break.
The 2026 Trittico calendar includes three rounds in total: after Jesi, the circuit moved towards the Fermo area with the second round (the Trofeo Fasciani, scheduled for February 14 in the Fermo area, organized by ACSI Ciclismo Macerata) and a third round in the Civitanova Marche and Macerata areas. The dates for the second and third stages have undergone some changes compared to the initial schedule.
The detailed program for the first round (meeting times, route, and category grids) was not published online by the organizers. The race, reserved for ACSI members and affiliated federations, saw the usual amateur cycling categories compete: Super Gentleman A/B/C, Gentleman, Senior, Junior, Veterans, and Women.
The first round takes place in Jesi (AN), in the Minonna district. Jesi can be reached by car from the SS76 (Jesi exit) and by train via the railway station on the Rome-Ancona line.
The race is reserved for ACSI members and affiliated federations, divided into amateur cycling categories (Super Gentleman A/B/C, Gentleman, Senior, Junior, Veterans, Women). For registrations, meeting times, and route details, it is advisable to contact the ACSI Ciclismo Marche organization.
