The mountain bike granfondo between Monte Conero and the Adriatic Sea
Rampiconero is one of the most beloved mountain bike granfondo events in Central Italy: every September it attracts hundreds of bikers to Camerano, a small municipality in the Province of Ancona, in the heart of the Marche region and at the foot of the Conero Regional Park. The event is organized by ASD Rampiconero with start and finish at the town's sports center, in Via Donatori del Sangue, at the Palasport.
What makes this race unique is its route: few off-road races in Italy allow you to pedal in the same morning through the gentle hills of the Marche hinterland, the vineyards of the Strada del Rosso Conero, the wooded trails of Monte Conero, and after a breathtaking descent, even a section on the beach of Sirolo, bordering the Adriatic Sea. It is an experience that combines sport, landscape, and taste, in a territory where mountain biking meets food and wine.
Rampiconero is not just a local race: it is part of the prestigious Tour3Regioni circuit, the mountain bike calendar that combines Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, and Marche. In recent years, the Camerano race has been the eighth and final stage of the season, effectively becoming the grand finale of the circuit and one of the most anticipated events for those chasing the overall standings.
Between hills, sea, and vineyards, Rampiconero is much more than a sporting competition: it is a celebration for two-wheel enthusiasts and a showcase for the Conero territory and Camerano, which welcomes bikers from all over Italy every year.
Rampiconero 2026 will take place on Sunday, September 20th, in Camerano, at the foot of Monte Conero. As usual, the event offers two routes: a competitive granfondo of about 46 km with 1,550 meters of elevation gain and a cycle touring/e-bike route of about 27 km with less elevation gain. The course crosses hills, Rosso Conero vineyards, Conero trails, and a scenic stretch towards the Adriatic coast. The race concludes the 2026 Tour3Regioni circuit calendar as the eighth stage.
The routes: Granfondo 46 km, 1,550 m elevation gain, with a mountain grand prix and refreshment points along the course; Cycle Touring/E-Bike 27 km, less elevation gain. Start and finish in Camerano.
Start and finish in Camerano (AN), Via Donatori del Sangue, at the Palasport. The race office is located at Via San Germano 44.
Camerano is a few kilometers from Ancona, easily reachable from the Ancona Sud exit of the A14 motorway. The reference train station is Ancona, connected to the rest of the national network.
Race pack collection and registration take place on Saturday afternoon (approximately from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM) and Sunday morning before the start (approximately from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM) at the Palasport. Online registration on the official website.
