Engines and Solidarity on the Po Embankment

In the Mantua plain along the Po River, the hamlet of Villa Saviola in the Municipality of Motteggiana (Province of Mantua) hosts one of the community's most beloved events every spring: the Agriraduno Trattori in Festa. Organized by the Associazione Feste Saviolese, the event combines a passion for agricultural machinery with solidarity, donating all proceeds to charity.

The Tractor Parade Along the Embankment

The heart of the day is the tractor parade — vintage and modern — which travels along the Po River embankment in a scenic procession. The morning starts early with registrations and the farmer's breakfast, continues with the parade and return accompanied by an aperitif, and culminates in the community lunch enlivened by country music. Alongside the tractors, live demonstrations showcase the agricultural culture of the area, starting with the preparation of Cicciolo Saviolese, a typical product of local tradition.

A Festival for the Whole Family

The Agriraduno is also designed for children, with a bouncy castle area open all day, and for the community, thanks to free health screenings offered in collaboration with local organizations. Stands selling local products complete the offering. More than just a gathering of engines, Trattori in Festa is a village festival that celebrates the rural roots of the lower Mantua region and focuses on generosity towards those in need.
