The widespread cultural summer of Rome's Municipality VI, across parks, squares, and archaeological sites
Torri in Festival – Roman Summer of the Towers is the summer festival promoted by Municipality VI Rome of the Towers, in the eastern quadrant of the Capital, in collaboration with the Youth Artistic Movement (MAG). Born as a cultural regeneration project for Rome's suburbs, the event brings music, theater, and live performances directly into the neighborhoods, with a completely free calendar that unfolds throughout the summer.
The strength of the festival lies in its widespread nature: the events cross numerous areas of Municipality VI, from Giardinetti to Torre Angela, from Torre Maura to Tor Bella Monaca, passing through Colle del Sole, Lunghezzina, Villa Verde, and Carcaricola. Neighborhood parks, squares, and even archaeological areas become open-air stages, restoring cultural prominence to a vast and populous territory.
The 2026 edition opens at the Parco Santarelli in Giardinetti with two days of children's workshops, concerts, musicals, and a comedy show by Michele La Ginestra. Among the most anticipated events is the musical The Curse of the Caribbean, designed to engage both adults and children.
A highlight of the festival is the 2026 Music Festival, which chooses the evocative setting of the Archaeological Area of Gabii for a concert dedicated to opera and film soundtracks, accompanied by guided tours. Also on the program is a grand symphonic concert dedicated to Ennio Morricone, with a live orchestra, at the Arena of the Archaeological Park of East Rome.
Supported by the administration of Municipality VI, the event aims to change the narrative about Rome's suburbs by investing in culture, beauty, and participation. With over a month of free events, Torri in Festival combines tradition and innovation and confirms the role of the Towers quadrant in the great Roman Summer season of Rome, in Lazio.
The 2026 festival confirms the widespread format, with free events distributed across numerous neighborhoods of Rome's Municipality VI. The opening is entrusted to Parco Santarelli in Giardinetti, with two days of children's workshops, concerts, musicals, and the comedy show by Michele La Ginestra. The calendar alternates between family shows, theater, live music, and major highlights in the local archaeological spaces.
The complete calendar, with dates and times for individual events, is published on the official channels of Municipality VI Rome of the Towers.
