About Tomato Festival

In July, Borgoricco, in the Graticolato Romano area of the province of Padua, celebrates one of its longest-standing traditions with the Tomato Festival: five days of food stalls in Viale Europa, where the tomato is the star in many recipes. Among the evenings, there is also the awaited election of Miss Graticolato Romano, a beauty contest that has accompanied the festival for almost thirty years.

A festival that has lasted for decades

The Tomato Festival of Borgoricco, a town in the plain north of Padua in the Graticolato Romano area, is one of the most rooted festivals in the local summer calendar. Dedicated to one of the symbolic products of Veneto agriculture, it has for decades told the community's bond with its land and peasant tradition.

Five days of celebration

The event takes place over five days in July at the food stall in Viale Europa. The tomato is the star of the cuisine, featured in numerous recipes that enhance local products. Musical evenings, dancing, and entertainment accompany the festival, which attracts visitors from all over the Camposampiero area.

Miss Graticolato Romano

One of the most anticipated moments is the election of Miss Graticolato Romano, a beauty contest now in its twenty-seventh edition, held at the Teatro del Centro Culturale Aldo Rossi. Organized by Pro Loco Borgoricco with the Associazione Festeggiamenti San Leonardo, the Tomato Festival is an event that combines gastronomy, entertainment, and local identity.
