The speed meeting at the Stadio della Vittoria in Tolentino
The Tolentino Sprint is now a regular fixture on the regional athletics calendar of the Marche. Organized by ASD Crazy Sport of Tolentino, in the province of Macerata, and included in the official FIDAL Marche calendar as a Regional Open meeting, the event takes place at the Stadio della Vittoria, the city stadium with a tartan track that for one evening becomes the home of speed for all of Central Italy.
What started as a small local race has become in a few editions one of the most attended events in the regional and interregional scene. The 2025 edition recorded record numbers, with over six hundred athletes competing, representing dozens of sports clubs from not only the Marche but also Tuscany, Umbria, Abruzzo, Lazio, Molise, Emilia-Romagna, and even from the Republic of San Marino. A catchment area that confirms how much the Tolentino Sprint has become a benchmark for sprinters of all categories, from the youngest to seniors.
The meeting is open to all federal categories: Ragazzi (U14), Cadetti (U16), Allievi (U18), Juniores (U20), Promesse (U23), Seniores (Seniors), and Master (veterans), in both men's and women's sectors. The program focuses on track speed events, with heats and finals for the 100, 200, and 400 meters, and the evocative Mile race. In recent years, the meeting has also hosted innovative events such as the 4x100m mixed relay, a discipline destined to enter the Olympic program.
The Tolentino Sprint is not just about competition. The day opens in the afternoon with youth races and games dedicated to schoolchildren, while in the evening the stadium fills with fans and families for the highlight: the men's and women's 100-meter finals, accompanied in past years by pyrotechnic effects. Prominent national speakers have taken turns commentating on the races, contributing to the creation of the great event atmosphere that has made the competition famous in Tolentino and throughout the Marche.
Tolentino, an elegant center in the province of Macerata known for the Basilica of San Nicola and its vibrant cultural and sporting life, welcomes the meeting. The collaboration between ASD Crazy Sport, the Municipality of Tolentino, and the FIDAL Marche Regional Committee ensures meticulous organization every year, capable of combining the technical level of the races with the warmth of a true village festival.
The Tolentino Sprint 2026 returns to the Stadio della Vittoria in Tolentino on June 27 and 28, 2026, as confirmed by the official FIDAL Marche calendar, which classifies the event as a Regional Open meeting. The race is organized by ASD Crazy Sport with manager Alessandro Fineschi.
