Excellences of the Marche region and flavors of the world at Fermo Forum
For over thirty years, Tipicità Festival has told the story of the Marche region through its food, crafts, stories, and communities. The event takes place at Fermo Forum, in the Girola area, within the municipality of Fermo, and is one of the most anticipated events in the Italian food and wine scene. Founded in the 1990s, the festival has grown edition after edition to become a major cultural and economic hub, capable of uniting the local dimension with an increasingly international vocation.
The heart of Tipicità is the promotion of the Marche region's excellences: wines, cheeses, cured meats, oils, baked goods, and local specialties are featured at the stands of nearly two hundred exhibitors. Alongside producers from the Marche region, numerous Italian regions and foreign delegations are present, making the festival an authentic bridge between different gastronomic cultures. Visitors can taste, purchase, and most importantly, get to know the producers up close, in an atmosphere that emphasizes authenticity and quality.
The program is divided into several thematic areas, ranging from exhibition spaces to in-depth discussions. Recurring highlights of the festival include:
Tipicità Festival is promoted by the Municipality of Fermo along with the Marche Region, the Chamber of Commerce, and numerous institutional and private partners. Each year, the festival hosts personalities from the world of communication, journalism, and culture, as well as delegations from different continents. The result is an event that, while remaining deeply rooted in the city of Fermo and the Marche region, engages with the entire world, confirming itself as a privileged showcase for tourism and the local economy.
Visiting Tipicità means immersing yourself in the soul of the Marche region: a land of villages, hills, and ancient traditions that are told here through taste. For Italian or foreign visitors, it is the ideal opportunity to discover in one place the gastronomic and cultural richness of the Province of Fermo and the entire region, in a welcoming and stimulating atmosphere.
The thirty-fourth edition, dedicated to the theme 'Indigenous Trajectories', focused on the GloCal dimension of the festival: the encounter between the local identity of the Marche region and dialogue with distant communities and cultures. Nearly 200 exhibitors and over 130 events gathered at Fermo Forum over three days.
The godmother of the edition was Monica Caradonna, a face from Linea Verde Italia on Rai 1. Among the guests were Gioacchino Bonsignore and Bruno Gambacorta. International delegations from Argentina, Japan, Morocco, Poland, and Ukraine were present, with contributions from Peru and the United States, alongside numerous Italian regions. The program included show cooking, forums, meetings, and areas dedicated to well-being, yeasts, and fermentation.
