About Tindamè Street Festival

Every summer, the Tindamè Street Festival transforms the "Enrico Quaranta" Villa Comunale in Monte San Giacomo—a small town in the Vallo di Diano area, province of Salerno—into an open-air stage. Launched in 2022 by the Youth Forum, the event weaves together great live music, street art, civic engagement, and environmental awareness. It is an evening of rock, DJ sets, and community spirit that draws crowds from across the Vallo di Diano, the Cilento region, and the rest of Campania, having already become a staple of the Salernitan summer.

A festival born from the youth of Vallo di Diano

The Tindamè Regenerations Street Festival is one of the most vibrant cultural initiatives of the summer in the Municipality of Monte San Giacomo, a village of a few thousand inhabitants overlooking the Vallo di Diano, in the province of Salerno, Campania. The first edition took place in August 2022, born from a group of young people gathered in the Youth Forum: the idea was simple yet ambitious—to create quality cultural opportunities within their own town, rather than having to look elsewhere. Since that first weekend with Almamegretta and 24 Grana, the festival has never looked back.

The name and the idea of regeneration

The word "regenerations" in the title is more than just a slogan. The festival works on the regeneration of the village's public spaces—the "Enrico Quaranta" Villa Comunale, Largo Radio Libere, and corners of the historic center—returning them to the community for a few days in August. Alongside the concerts, the years have seen murals, live painting sessions, photography exhibitions, documentary screenings, and moments of discussion on civic and environmental issues. It is a music festival, but also a small laboratory for active citizenship.

The 2026 edition: The Zen Circus at the Villa Comunale

The fifth edition will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the "Enrico Quaranta" Villa Comunale. The absolute stars of the evening are The Zen Circus, a historic Tuscan band with twenty-five years of career behind them and a permanent place in the history of Italian rock. This stop is part of their Il Male Summer Tour 2026 and alternates moments of pure rock with more intimate and introspective passages linked to their latest album. The music starts at 9:00 PM with the opening act by Atlante, an avant-rock group from Turin; closing the night is a DJ set by Dani Icebell from the "Solamente Italiano" collective.

Sustainability and local ties

"Rock, sustainability, and territory" is the formula with which the organizers have presented the 2026 edition. Together with the main sponsor Manzolillo srl, the festival has chosen to reduce the evening's environmental impact by distributing reusable cups instead of single-use plastic. The festival area also features a food and beverage zone and a relaxation space designed for those who want to enjoy the evening without staying right under the stage.

  • Where: Villa Comunale "Enrico Quaranta", Monte San Giacomo (SA)
  • When: Saturday, August 8, 2026, area opens at 7:00 PM, music from 9:00 PM
  • Organizers: Youth Forum of Monte San Giacomo, with the patronage of the Municipal Department of Tourism and Entertainment

Monte San Giacomo, between Vallo di Diano and Cilento

Monte San Giacomo stands at an altitude of about 700 meters, on the slopes of the Alburni Mountains and within the Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a land of forests, springs, and hiking trails, with a compact historic center and a gastronomic tradition linked to mountain products. The town's summer is particularly rich: the feast of the patrons Giacomo and Anna at the end of July is accompanied by gastronomic festivals in the historic center, concerts in Piazza Sandro Pertini, and, in September, events dedicated to documentaries. The Tindamè has become its most defining moment, the one that brings back many young emigrants and the many "Sangiacomesi around the world" who return in August.

Why it's worth the trip

Those arriving from outside the region will find a rare formula here: a festival built from the ground up, featuring prominent names from the Italian independent scene, in a mountain setting with an audience that knows and reunites with each other. It is not a machine for big numbers, and that is precisely its value: the scale of the village allows you to experience the evening with a proximity to the stage and an atmosphere that has long been lost in large open-air events.

Tindamè Street Festival — edition 2026

The fifth edition of the Tindamè Regenerations Street Festival takes place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the "Enrico Quaranta" Villa Comunale in Monte San Giacomo, Salerno. On stage, The Zen Circus will perform their "Il Male Summer Tour 2026," preceded by the Turin-based avant-rock band Atlante and followed by a DJ set from Dani Icebell. An open-air evening built by the Youth Forum around music, sociality, and environmental sustainability.

Fifth edition, one big Saturday

After the two-day event in 2025, the Tindamè Street Festival concentrates the 2026 edition into a single evening: Saturday, August 8, at the "Enrico Quaranta" Villa Comunale in Monte San Giacomo. The area opens at 7:00 PM, and music starts at 9:00 PM.

The Zen Circus at the top of the bill

The headline act is The Zen Circus, a band from Pisa with twenty-five years of career and a reference role in Italian rock. The stop is part of the Il Male Summer Tour 2026 and promises an intense show, alternating moments of pure rock with more intimate passages linked to their latest record. Opening the evening are Atlante, an avant-rock group from Turin; closing the night is a DJ set by Dani Icebell, from the "Solamente Italiano" collective.

Rock, sustainability, and territory

The organizers of the Youth Forum, with the patronage of the Municipality of Monte San Giacomo and the support of the main sponsor Manzolillo srl, have chosen the "rock, sustainability, and territory" formula for 2026: reusable cups instead of single-use plastic, a food and beverage area, and a relaxation zone set up inside the villa.
