Meda's amateur companies take the stage
The "Everyone to the Theater!" review is the event that the Municipality of Meda, in the Province of Monza and Brianza, dedicates to its amateur theater companies. The performances are held at the Anna Frank School Auditorium, in Via Giovanni XXIII, and are promoted by the Municipal Department of Culture of Meda. It is a showcase that enhances the vibrant theatrical scene of the Brianza area.
The stars of the review are five historic amateur companies from Meda: the Compagnia Teatro San Giovanni Bosco, I Nuovi Istrioni, I Senzatetto, Teatro Vivo – Gli Antistress, and the Gruppo Teatro Meda – Teatro Omnibus. Each presents its own performance, in a schedule that spans the spring and offers the public a variety of proposals and styles.
The program ranges from dialect comedies to the rhythms of English-style vaudeville, with stories of misunderstandings, grotesque situations, and plot twists. A light and entertaining repertoire, capable of making people laugh and keeping alive the tradition of popular and amateur theater, deeply rooted in Brianza culture.
Admission to the performances is free, a choice that reflects the popular and community-oriented nature of the review. "Everyone to the Theater!" is not just an entertainment opportunity, but also a way to support and promote local amateur companies, custodians of a tradition that continues to engage actors and audiences of all ages.
