The Theater Festival in Spormaggiore, also known as "April at the Theater", is the spring event that the Pro Loco Spormaggiore APS dedicates to Trentino dialect theater. The performances take place in the village's parish theater, the cultural heart of the Paganella Plateau community in the Province of Trento.

A program of dialect comedies

The program brings together some of the most appreciated amateur theater companies in Trentino, offering dialect comedies that are as thought-provoking as they are hilarious. The stories depict the daily life of mountain villages, the traditions, and the customs of the Trentino valleys: popular characters, misunderstandings, and comic situations that the local audience recognizes and loves.

In past editions, companies from various parts of Trentino have taken to the stage, performing scripts from the best of the region's amateur theater tradition. The Gruppo Teatrale Albatros

The Gruppo Teatrale Albatros, the village's amateur company supported by the Pro Loco, is deeply linked to the theatrical life of Spormaggiore. The festival is also an opportunity to showcase the commitment of local associations and to involve audiences of all ages in a shared celebration.

Where it takes place

Spormaggiore is located on the Paganella Plateau, in Trentino-Alto Adige, in a panoramic position overlooking the Adige Valley and close to the Val di Non. Beyond the theater, the village is known for its Wildlife Park and its apple orchards, making it an ideal base for excursions and discovering mountain culture.
