Edition 2025 — The Wine Table
The debut of the format in summer 2025
The Wine Table was born in July 2025 as an experiment by the Convento Francescano Experience Hotel in Cuccaro Vetere, in the province of Salerno, in collaboration with Wine&Thecity. The first dinner was held on Monday, July 22, 2025, at 8:00 PM: the protagonist was Friuli Venezia Giulia with the wines of Russiz Superiore, presented by Ilaria Felluga, the sixth generation of the historic Friulian family. On tasting: Ribolla Gialla, Friulano, and Bianco Col Disôre from Collio, Cabernet Franc, and Moscato Rosa, paired with five dishes from the Osteria del Convento: stuffed eggplant with San Marzano fillets, fusillone with yellow cherry tomatoes and salted anchovies, catch of the day with guanciale and zucchini flowers, goat cheeses from Tenuta Principe Mazzacane, and a chestnut honey dessert with yuzu and lime ice cream. Participation fee: 80 euros per person, all-inclusive.
The second evening: the Cilento of San Salvatore 19.88
The follow-up arrived on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 8:30 PM, with San Salvatore 19.88 and its founder Peppino Pagano sharing five identity-defining labels of the territory: Gioì Blanc de Noir, Vetere IGP Paestum Rosato, Calpazio IGP Paestum Greco, Pian di Stio Evoluzione IGP Paestum Fiano Bio, and Gillo Dorfles IGP Paestum Aglianico. Opening and closing the dinner were the white figs of Santomiele, a company from Prignano Cilento. The success of these two trials convinced the organizers to transform the initiative into a full-fledged series, with six appointments from April to September of the following year.
