The Night of the Sourdough Masters

The 2025 edition, the tenth, was held on Monday, July 21, 2025, at the Pilotta complex and Piazzale della Pace, in the historic center of Parma. The protagonists were 48 academicians from the Academy of Sourdough and Italian Panettone Masters, hailing from across the peninsula and abroad, with participants from Germany, France, and Taiwan.

The day began in the afternoon at the Palazzo del Governatore, then continued at 7:00 PM with the Masters' procession that paraded through the streets of the center to the Trottatoi of the Pilotta, accompanied by the Giuseppe Verdi Band of Parma. From 8:00 PM to midnight, free tastings were held in Piazza della Pilotta. Access was granted with a charitable bracelet (minimum contribution of 5 euros) for the benefit of the Parma Solidale Emporium. During the evening, awards were presented to academicians and young leavening bakers, and previews of the Panettone World Championship were announced.
