About Terre e Trame
Two traditions that intertwine
Terre e Trame was born from a suggestive idea: to bring together two excellences of Orvieto's craftsmanship, lace with the art of crochet and traditional ceramics. Two ancient skills — one made of threads and weaves, the other of earth and fire — which have deep roots in the Umbrian city and which the event brings into dialogue, enhancing the creativity and manual skills that unite them.
A tribute to Orvieto's know-how
Orvieto lace, with its characteristic stitch, and Orvieto ceramics, with its historical decorations, are two symbols of the city's artisan identity. Terre e Trame celebrates them through exhibitions, demonstrations, and meetings, in a journey that tells the vitality of crafts still practiced and passed down today.

The event is promoted by GAL Trasimeno Orvietano, the Local Action Group that works for the enhancement of the territory between Lake Trasimeno and the Orvieto area.
