Every summer, the courtyard of the Desenzano del Garda Castle (province of Brescia) becomes a charming open-air theatre. The "Teatro al Castello" review, promoted by the Municipality, offers evenings of theatre, music and satire with nationally renowned artists, in the unique setting of the medieval fortress overlooking the lake.
A programme between comedy and storytelling
The 2026 programme alternates different registers: the popular theatre of Legnanesi, the musical tribute to Lucio Dalla by Lorenzo Campani, the biting monologue by Giuseppe Cruciani, the story of Saint Francis by Giovanni Scifoni, and the comedy of Luca Bizzarri. Five events ranging from cabaret to singer-songwriter music, from civil theatre to narration.
Desenzano, a city of culture
The review confirms Desenzano del Garda's cultural vocation: a "consolidated" programme, in the words of the administration, capable of bringing national names to one of the most beloved locations on the Brescia side of the lake. The castle courtyard, with its intimate and scenic atmosphere, is the ideal setting for summer evenings.

The 2026 edition offers five events in the courtyard of the Desenzano del Garda Castle: Legnanesi with "Guai a chi ruba!" (June 1, sold out), the tribute to Lucio Dalla by Lorenzo Campani "La sera dei miracoli" (June 28), the monologue by Giuseppe Cruciani "Via Crux" (July 7), Giovanni Scifoni with "Fra' San Francesco, la superstar del Medioevo" (July 12), and Luca Bizzarri with "Non hanno un amico" (July 26).
