TALLÀ - Festival of theatre you don't expect is the event that brings theatre out of the halls and among the people, animating the squares and streets of the centre of Crema. The name itself plays with the idea of surprise: unexpected shows that burst into the city's everyday spaces, in the province of Cremona, offering moments of wonder and amusement to passers-by.

Commedia dell'arte takes centre stage

The heart of the festival is commedia dell'arte, with its traditional Italian masks and characters, alongside forms of unconventional and street theatre. Performances take place in evocative locations in the city centre, such as Piazza Garibaldi and the Mercato Austroungarico, transformed for the occasion into open-air theatres.

Shows, parades, and workshops

The programme alternates evening shows, musical parades, and entertainment, with titles drawing from the great theatrical repertoire and popular tradition. There are also theatre courses and workshops, reflecting the festival's educational aim to introduce new audiences and performers to the art of the stage.

Organised by the company Pantakel Teatro, TALLÀ is one of the most original offerings in the cultural landscape of Crema.
