Celebrating Apulian table grapes in Castellaneta with markets, tastings, and live entertainment.

The Table Grape Festival is the event through which Castellaneta, in the Province of Taranto, celebrates one of the most defining products of Apulian agriculture. For generations, the table grapes of the Ionian arc—including historic varieties like Italia, Vittoria, and Red Globe—have been a vital economic and cultural resource for the region, and the festival showcases the entire supply chain from field to table.
After a long hiatus, the festival has returned to the city's calendar, drawing producers, families, and visitors alike. The initiative is promoted by the Municipality of Castellaneta in collaboration with the Urban Trade District and local agricultural organizations, including CIA area Due Mari, Coldiretti, and the Consorzio Regina di Puglia, highlighting the strong bond between the festival and the local production sector.
The event takes place across the center of Castellaneta and the seaside hamlet of Castellaneta Marina, with the Gaudella district—the heart of table grape production—often playing a central role. Evenings conclude with musical performances that bring the squares to life; the most recent edition featured a grand finale concert by artist Graziano Galatone.
Visiting the Table Grape Festival is also the perfect opportunity to explore Castellaneta, a town famous for its ravines and as the birthplace of Rudolph Valentino, and to enjoy the hospitality of the Ionian Puglia at the end of summer. Dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced: we recommend following the official channels of the Municipality of Castellaneta for updates.
