Sutri Gnocchi Festival

The 2025 edition of the Gnocchi Festival took place in Sutri, in the province of Viterbo, from Saturday, August 30, to Monday, September 1. For three days, the food stands set up in Piazza Pisanelli served gnocchi in every style — with meat sauce, mushrooms, pesto, and tomato — accompanied by traditional grilled specialties.

The program offered, as always, music and entertainment in the square, artisan markets in the alleys of the historic center, and guided tours of the ancient city's heritage: the Roman amphitheater carved into the tuff, the Etruscan-Roman necropolis, and the Mithraeum. The festival, organized by the Sutri Pro Loco, confirmed its role as the opening of the village's late-summer gastronomic season, which continues in September with the historic Bean Festival dedicated to the "regina" bean.
