The Sunset Concert is the musical evening that brings Cugnoli, a hilltop village in the Province of Pescara, in the heart of Abruzzo, to life every summer. The event takes place on the Terrazza Paradiso in Contrada Andragona, a natural viewpoint overlooking the rolling hills of the Pescara river valley: from here, on clear days, the view stretches all the way to the sea on the horizon. The 2026 edition is titled «Under the same sky: from sunset to night» and offers a true acoustic and emotional journey, designed to accompany the audience from the setting sun to the appearance of the first stars.

The evening is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The Ghema Quartetto will perform on the natural stage of Terrazza Paradiso together with Marta Porrà, an artist who alternates vocals, guitar, percussion, and violin in a repertoire that weaves perfectly with the colors of the sunset. Live music, the panoramic location, and the intimate atmosphere of the village create a personal experience, far from large stages and close to the authentic soul of the Abruzzo hinterland.

Borgo in Movimento and the cultural life of Cugnoli

The initiative is organized by the association Borgo in Movimento ETS, which has been promoting cultural growth and community cohesion in Cugnoli for years. The same group organizes other events that mark the year in the village, such as the famous Dawn Concert in August on the hills of Andragona and Christmas in the Village, with craft markets and the living nativity scene among the alleys and cellars. Proceeds from these initiatives support community projects, from the «Nati per Leggere» reading program to the local literary café.
