Summer starts again on Thursdays
In Casalmaggiore, a town in the Province of Cremona on the Po River, summer has its evening ritual: the "Summer Thursdays" organized by the Pro Loco. A series of Thursday evening events, throughout June, designed to liven up the town center and launch the summer season with music, sports, and conviviality.
The Pro Loco's new course
The 2026 edition also marks a new beginning for the Pro Loco of Casalmaggiore, which restarts under the presidency of Francesco Argento. "Summer Thursdays" are the first test for the new board, which has chosen to relaunch these popular events, supported by the work of volunteers, including those from Polo Romani.
Four evenings, four themes
The program is divided into four evenings with different content:
- the party at Polo Romani, a format already successfully offered;
- live music with Andrea Quaroni and his rockabilly group;
- the Sports Day, dedicated to local sports organizations;
- the final concert, to close the festival.
A community celebration
More than just a series of events, "Summer Thursdays" are an opportunity for the Casalmaggiore community to come together. They liven up the early summer evenings, highlight the work of volunteers, and prepare the ground for the Pro Loco's major events, especially the autumn Cotechino Festival.
